What you'll need

  • Transcripts

LBWCC has no separate PN application: the ACEN-accredited Practical Nursing certificate (MacArthur campus, Opp) is awarded after NUR 112-115, the first three semesters of the ADN Track 1 program, and students may then sit for the NCLEX-PN. Paper nursing applications are accepted Apr 1 to Jun 1 for fall and Aug 1 to Oct 1 for spring, with letters mailed about four weeks after the deadline and no waiting list. Minimums: unconditional college admission, all official transcripts on file by the deadline, ACT composite 18 (with science) or ATI TEAS proficiency within three years, 2.5 GPA in required core courses (or 2.5 high school GPA with no college work); applicants are ranked on a 62-point scale. PN NCLEX pass rate 95.24% in 2025 (100% in 2023 and 2024).
